Oh no! Not another Advance OS3000
Just when you thought it was safe................I have acquired another one! This one is an actual Advance OS3000, rather than the Gould Advance OS3000A referred to here
https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=159953 and apart from the "white face" and a few minor differences in transistors visible through the slots in the case appears to be almost identical. It also appears to work, but fear not! The gain of channel two is slightly down as compared to channel one so there is still fun to be had. I cant seem to download pics at the moment but they will follow in due course.

Here it is. I don’t think it has been used very much.

Yep, used one of those in my college days.
Do they follow you home? David

Re: Oh no! Not another Advance OS3000
You were spoiled then. We had Telequipment D52’s when I was at college. I left in 1987, but luckily caught them disposing of a lot of kit during the holidays. I knew one of the lab technicians there from “ down the pub”. I went down with a mate who was also into electronics, slipped previously mentioned tech a few drinking vouchers and filled up my little ex BT Bedford HA van. I still have some of that stuff but the D52’s are long gone.
I think they must follow me home. Funny that I never seem to get followed home by any 100Mhz scopes.

Re: Oh no! Not another Advance OS3000
The general lab had loads of Telequipment d67 family with a couple of Tek7000 systems.
My project was TV related, so I got to live in the TV lab which had been specially equipped to run summer courses for the IBA and I had the Gould to myself! Luxury! I also had a tek vectorscope and a syncs generator plus a vtr. I'd seen how people's projects had to fight for gear in general, so I deliberately picked a project that brought its own well-equipped lab with it. I got to spend more time engineering and less time serching and bartering. David
