Red face Marconi 44

Could anybody tell me the original valve line-up for the Marconi 44, also what type of speaker was used

Hello Dick,

The loudspeaker would have been up to the buyer to choose, but a Marconi model would have been a likely choice. As there weren't any new ones for 1928, 1927's model 75 (at £3.15s.) or 105 (£5.5s.) seem the main contenders. The photo is of my 105: the 75 is of similar appearance but mounted on a circular baffle instead of in a cabinet. This 105 is 5000 ohms, I couldn't say whether they all were.
