Default Cable mounted mains connector for Alba 707

I am looking to purchase the cable mounted part of this mains connector.

The drawing attached gives the dimensions of the male chassis part.

For testing purposes I bodged a figure of 8 connector but its not suitable as a permanent replacement.

The Pins are 2.7mm diameter 7mm apart.

Here's hoping

Cheers

Hi Mike, I came across a connector (cable-mounting female, brown bakelite) that matches that description when sifting through the "funny connectors" box the other day- it'll be a couple of days before I get access again but if it measures up, you're welcome to have it. As with other connectors that I've passed on to folk for RA17, DAC90A etc. I don't want anything for it, it's nice to do a few common-interest favours on the forum, besides which I'm always a bit uncomfy about having a financial transaction associated with mains connectors that would have current-conformity folk activating the emergency klaxon!

Unfortunately my recall on the connector in question wasn't good- whilst it's smaller than the usual 2-pin mains type associated with much vintage kit, it's still somewhat bigger than the one you're after- the receptacles are 15/32" apart and look as though they'd suit 1/8" pins, the connector face is 1" by 7/16". (Normally I'm very metric, but that would be inappopriate here!). Sorry about that.

That looks like an unusual one, thin pins and close together ,I was thinking early Philips pins ,but they would be to far apart , I would be inclined to make one . Mick.

Thanks for having a look the pins seem to be 1/10" 9/32" apart.

I may end up having to make something but I haven't given up hope yet

Cheers

Hi Mike,
I've got a connector which is moulded on to a cable which has very similar dimensions to what is shown in your drawing, except the sockets seem slightly less than 8mm apart and it's marked "made in usa". Could bring it to RWB if of interest, Mike.

Well my measurements must have been out because the cable Mike (Gridiron) gave me fits perfectly

The connector is shallow so it is all the way in (see picture) and it has good continuity.

Cheers
