2BH Australia revisited.
Hi, Last autumn I posted some pics of station 2BH at Broken Hill taken by my friend who has a perchant for wandering around Australia.
He's recently returned fron another expedition, and this time, being an ex BBC engineer, managed to talk his way into the station. He was given a hospitable welcome, and took a few pics. I present several of them here, without comment except to warn members of a sensitive nature to avert their eyes. Tony. Last edited by boxdoctor; 12th Apr 2017 at 10:06 am. |

Re: 2BH Australia revisited.
Hi Peter,
Yes, the radio is a Gulbransen. I have serviced many of their organs, but never seen a radio by them. I wonder if they were only made in/for Australia. There are several more pics, but they are similarly depressing, so I thought it best not to include them! My friend tells me they are "very laid back", and not at all like the BBC. Tony |
