If the klystron is the 2K25 I remember from school, it's only capable of about 25 mW when set up just so. Not a lot of heat.
You might just get past the 10mW/sq cm level if you peered directly into the horn.

A puzzle, which is a 1N23 diode? See photos, the 1N23 has a protruding pin, the CV2154 doesn't. I thought that the CV2154, or similar was a 1N23 but so far not proved, anyone know please?

I've been in conversation with the ever helpful Cricklewood Electronics who tell me that the code on my diode is an old British military code and that it's the same as a 1N23.
I foresee a trip to Cricklewood Broadway |
