Enertec-Solartron 4700. Chaparel was asking for information 14 June in this thread. I have found a catalogue with specification, 1975/76, and attach a copy. It may at least give you a indication as to what the thing was meant to do.Bill m0wpn

Has anyone got any information about the Solartron Solarscope CD1015 oscilloscope, by any chance?

Many thanks,

Andy

CD1015 Oscilloscope

This was announced in 1961 as a 12 MHz bandwidth portable at the rather expensive price of £195.
In production until about 1965, latterly as the CD1015.2 with a 15 MHz bandwidth.

Sorry, no other details found in my papers.

MOFYA Andy was asking about the Solartron CD1015. To add to AVO_VCM163 comments, I attach an extract from the 1962 catalogue. I have a note that the 1960 provisional price was £125 ex works. Other models about the same period were the CD1014/CD1016 aimed for the TV trade and the CT436 MoD, which appear to have sold well, though the civilian version of the CT436 CD1017 I have never seen. All seemed to be eclipsed by sales of the CD1400 + plug ins, large screen, 15Mhz dual beam, introduced 1967, continuing to 1972 or later.
The tube used in the CD1015 was the GEC 900E (probably as screen 924E). Does nayone have any data upon this tube please. Bill m0wpn

CD1015 and 900E tube

That is interesting about the 1960 announcement and price, Bill.
Clearly there were difficulties in production given that sort of price hike!
I believe that it was first shown publicly at the Physical Soc Exhibition. (Splendid events!)

Here is a copy of the 900E data.

Roy, Bill,
Thanks for the info on the CD1015, every little helps!
Maybe a manual and circuit will turn up one day.
I was given ny CD1015 by a colleague at work (along with a rather splendid US Signal Corps Wobbulator) when he discovered I was interested in valve equipment. The 'scope had been sitting unused in his loft for 20+ years, I haven't tried it yet.
Cheers,
Andy

Bill,

Can you supply a copy of the CD1212/CT484 manual and schematics plus those for its plug-in vertical amps? If so, how can I contact you to arrange and agree cost? (new to forum and unfamiliar with required procedures). Have one in good cosmetic condition and it would be nice to make it run if not too costly.

tks

for ZL1TQT John. The Solartron CD1212/CT484 manual is too big to post over this forum, and almost too big to send by email. It is over 12Mb. I would say I will put it on a CD and post it, but that would be costly to NZ. So that we can consider what best to do, send me a Private Message with your email address. Bill

Enertec 4415 Function Generator. I have now scanned the whole manual. It comes to about 2.3M, which is too large to send via the Forum I can put the circuit up on the Forum. Otherwise, if you send me your email by Private Message, I will send the whole manual to you by email. Bill m0wpn

Hello, I am also new in this forum.
I am a teacher in a technical higschool in Austria since last September. To prepare some laboratory exercises I searched for older equipment and found a Enertec 4415 generator.
To learn more about it I would be very glad if you, Bill would be so kind and send me also the manual.
I will send you my Email per PM as soon its enabled.
Best regards,

Hi, I have a 4416 Programmable Function Generator that works perfectly and that I really like using and am trying to find out how to program it using the rather innocuous large port on the back. The data sheet WME_bill posted proved interesting reading but alas no info on the programming port! If anyone has a manual for the 4416 (I believe the 4415 is very similar, just lacking the programming) then I would be most grateful if you could email me a copy! My email address is Removed to comply with forum rules - please use Private Message. (I am currently using the beast in my final year project at university!).
Many Thanks
- Alex

I have a copy of the manual for the GO1101 Pulse Generator of 1962, including the circuit. Send me a PM if you want a copy on a CD. I thought the recent seller of several on ebay was offering them in working order. Bill m0wpn

Hi Bill
It is one of the ebay ones but there was no guarantee of working. Mine came with a swing ticket on the top that said " no o/p pulse" and guess what - there is no output. PM sent.
Regards
Stephen
