Default Rise and Fall Lamp

Hi everyone, it's not exactly radio related but I'm looking for a rise and fall lamp for in the kitchen. Even just the mechanism which I could put a shade on would be good. Preferably the non counterweight versions but I will consider anything.

Best regards,

Cameron

Try Ikea.

Hi Colin, I can't see any on the Ikea website. I have had a look elsewhere but they are a bit pricey, just looking for an old one I can put my own shade on really(unless I like the shade of course).

I've got a set somewhere. The pulley blocks (brass teardrop shapes) don't work well with modern flex though and suitable cotton covered rubber insulated twisted twin probably won't met modern standards for safety. Fed via an RCD they'd still be safer than they were originally, though.

If you're interested. I'll try to find them........

Hi that's a good point about the cable, if it's not too much trouble to look them out I would appreciate a few pictures. Is there anywhere I can buy modern rubber flex? Not too bothered about the safety standards as long as it's not cracked up.

Pond cable is usually rubber and so might be an option, look for H07RN.
