Hi. FMarco64
As this is not listed at the top in Instant Downloads

This may be of interest to you, I found in my stash there are two C137
Decks. Hope these are of use as I don't have any more info.
Good Luck, the first one is normal one.I will send a second post if I can of
the C137-A so you can see the differences.
Regards gezza123

Thank you very much @gezza123, I will take a look soon. The 173 is back to play, I found a way to fix the broken tonearm post on the left bearing side. Unfortunately I found also the right bearing screw broken. So it's playing but tonearm is a bit unstable.
I just put back to play another BSR from the same friend, a C142 which was stuck and just needed a clean and lubrication.

@gezza123
can you tell if the C173 is a multiplay - using an appropriate spindle, able to keep all records in place without an additional lever?
Just out of curiosity, I always saw BSRs with the record placement lever for multiplay.
thanks
cheers

Hi' marco
Might be some other forum member may be able to help you better
than me.

I don't know the correct answer, but looking at the drawing I think
that with the main spindle (206) that has three claws at top, is slotted in
the claws act like an umberella to hold some records unless you want
to play a single you use the (207) spindle.these are auto multiplay
and fitted to bsr/realistic/C164/C165 with same deck except fitted with
different arm units.

As I said in my fist post I only found these in my stash, I have never
seen this model in before. I knew that I had a C137 but did not
know I also had C137-A that was when I found there were two.
good luck regards gezza123

Here's the deck (if you can call it that) from a Fidelity HF42 “mini player”. It has a BSR motor.

Was a model number assigned to this deck?

I wonder if it was a version of the GU8?:

Now I suspect the BSR UA15 has been listed already in this thread but today I found an interesting advert in an old US magazine (see attached) saying it was designed by Raymond Loewy (very famous designer, Shell logo, Concorde interiors etc - see http://www.raymondloewy.com/

Thought it would be of interest to people, and explains why it is such a nice looking and unusual deck. Must have cost BSR a fair bit!

Any others decks designed by famous industrial designers?

Cheers
Joe

Thanks Graham, that explains why it ended up somewhere else... thought i'd gone mad for a while then!

Apologies for expanding the thread beyond the identification of the deck
