De-emphasis.
The cap In my Cossor 524 that i'm asking the question about is the one with the job title De-emphasis. And it is c47 in the trader service sheet. Is this cap vital, it's value is 0.002uf, and if vital or not, what would be the best equivalent replacement? Thanks.

Re: De-emphasis.
It's a simple CR low pass filter to remove the 'emphasis' applied at the transmitter. Are you sure it's a paper capacitor?

Re: De-emphasis.
Its one of those unpopular Hunts caps bearing the figure 200. I think that is what it reads as the figures are positioned on the bottom side and not very clear.
