I take that you received your download of the 51-page DAC90A Restoration 'ebook' from Yannis Karalis, along with the dial glass? I'm sure the dial glass will be of interest to other forum members, because in my experience, 'DIY' transparencies or water-slide transfers to replicate the original dial fall well short of the desired outcome.

I'm sure other forum members would be interested in your assessment of Yannis's dials.

To assist in resolving frequency changer problems with a bothersome DAC90A I'm working on I've referred to in another thread, I bought Yannis's '90A restoration download and can highly recommend it. The many diagrams are excellent. The under-chassis diagram is especially useful and clear, with a colour coded wiring diagram and all the expected voltages marked of valve-holder tags. There are diagrams of how to fit a capacitive dropper, to cure the dim bulb problem, reduce modulation hum, a PCB to replace the original tag-board.

There are a few clips on his website of what is included at this link:

You pay by Paypal, and within a day or two Yannis will send an email with a link to download the file via 'WeTransfer'. The file is password protected with your unique password which you enter each time you wish to view or print any of the diagrams and text. Very helpful guy - he emailed me to say that one option for a faulty wave-change switch that he used was this one from RS, with a spindle extender, which will fit in the limited space available:

Some time ago he'd explained on internet how to use a 'Lorlin' switch with unused tags removed, as shown in the pic below. I don't have a switch problem, but it is commonplace and good to see a couple of options to overcome a defective switch.

Yannis is actually an accomplished professional Greek musician, and quite why and how he became so adept in knowing every nut, bolt and piece of wire on a British radio is anyone's guess, but it's to our benefit that he did:
