Question Marconiphone 8903 Gram deck motor stops

Recently found my Great Grandfather's gramophone so am trying to restore it to working condition again. I have replaced the 1.1uF capacitor with 1uF and 0.1uF in parallel and the 1.3uF capacitor with 1uF and 0.33uF in parallel- as couldn't find exact matches online. Motor began turning but slowed down and stopped, so we took apart motor unit and replaced bearing and lubricated spindle. When we reassembled it, the motor ran perfectly at working speed, so we put the turntable on again and tried running it all together. Motor and table got up to speed perfectly for about 10s then gradually slowed down and stopped. We took the turntable off and tried running the motor again but it now won't run by itself for longer than about 5s if I start spinning it by hand. Constant humming sound from the motor when switched on so power is reaching it- not sure what's wrong! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi welcome. There was a post from PhilG4SPZ in August 2013, on this topic who had same problem suggest you take a look. I don’t know how to link you perhaps Mod will do it.

Looked on that thread already but doesn't seem to have fixed it. Using yellow polypropylene capacitors rated at 630V AC.

Apologies- the 1uF and 0.33uF are 630V DC, 400V AC. The 0.1uF I could only find 2000V DC and 630V AC. Could this be the problem?
