Membership cards and the DVD were due to be posted at the end of January but I believe there were problems with the manufacture of the DVD or its sleeve, which have delayed things. They haven't been posted yet.

The bulletin is quarterly, so the next one (Spring 2007) should be sent out towards the end of March.

I don't know whether the DVD and membership card will now go out with the March bulletin, or will still be sent as a separate mailing. I will alert the rest of the committee to this thread so we should get a more informed response in due course.

Me too!

The DVD looks to be the usual interesting mix, I'm looking forward to that.

I've just watched "It's the tube that makes the colour" which brings back happy memories of watching it in glorious black and white when I was in my early teens.

Thanks are due to Jon Evans and all others who helped to get this DVD to us. The only shame is that high quality masters seem to be a bit elusive. Let's hope that one day we can get to see "It's the tube..." etc in something like their orignal quality, unfiltered by at least one generation of VHS.

May I add my name to the growing list of people praising this excellent DVD?

Thanks one and all.

Cheers,

Thumbs down Re: Next BVWS Bulletin soon ???

Hi All,
Well I never got my christmas bulletin never mind the new one or DVD!
Neither can I renew my membeship as I understand the renewal form was in said missing Chrismas edition! This desipte many emails sent to the membeship secretary (no reply to any of them)
I guess I have been "de selected",
Paul.

My thanks too for this interesting selection of films. It is a bonus benefit of BVWS membership and it's good to know that these films are now being preserved in an accessible format.

Have you tried phoning the membership secretary? This is the best way of getting things like this cleared up.

Hi,
Yes tried that; everytime I ring it's just an answer machine! I prefer to speak to human beings!

Hi Kalee99,

forgot to ask, did you leave a message on the answer phone when you called?
Because if you did not leave any messages, then Graham would never know that you called.
As I said in the previous post, send me an e-mail to let me know who you are in real life and I will get it sorted.

Just for info. The next Bulletin "Spring 2007" is due to be hitting your door step sometime in March.

All the best,

Mike...

It's been delayed due to Carl being away. It should be arriving very soon. The aim is to get it to members just before the NVCF (as it has an NVCF advert in it) but it may be just after.

This info is as reported at the BVWS committee meeting (conference call) last Tuesday.
