Default WD40 a Huge No No

Guys and Gals, having read through this forum I often see the sugestion to use WD40 to lubricate dials. this is a HUGE no no as it causes the dials to collect dust and dirt. slow dials should be cleaned off in White Spirit only then lubricated very sparingly with a very light sewing machine oil. The original stuff ( Oil Bearing No16 ) is no longer available due to it being carcogenic, but No18 could be used instead

Cheers
