Default Russian Bathtub Capacitor

I have these Russian bathtub capacitors.
They have 2 x 0.1uf sections in the same slim case. Is the centre terminal always the common terminal for both sections?

Double types have two insulated columns, one for each half of the , cap with a lug or other connector to the case, sounds like what you are saying?

Not the same value of capacitor, but the same 2-in-1 type.
One would assume the case to be negative, but it is painted and there are three terminals

Hey Neil,.

Higher resolution photo, please. I can just see a tiny thumbnail that won't expand.

I can read Cyrillic text so should be able to help!

Although the thumbnail does expand (to about twice the size) for me, it's still too low-resolution to read the text - or even to see whether there is anything in Cyrillic (which I also read from my O Level days).

Do you have a device for measuring capacitance?- e.g. many DMMs. A few tests between terminals will give deductive pointers.

Thinking of the connection arrangement, rather than the actual value- i.e. if the measured outer-to-outer value was half the (either) outer-to-centre value, that would indeed imply centre common connection.

Don't know if the Russians stuck to a particular connection convention for multiple bathtubs, but the Americans certainly didn't, judging by the Scott RCH here! Some common to case, some isolated case, of the latter, some common to middle terminal, some to one end terminal. I suspect there was a specifying "recipe" to suit a particular physical circuit layout.
