Name that telly?
Hi everyone,
I recently came across a very old photo of me, my commodore 64 and my first telly. I'd love to know that the make and model is, although I appreciate the photo is a little grainy. We seem to think it might be ferguson, philips or fidelity? Any thoughts greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

I am pretty sure it is a Fidelity, I too had one of these many years ago!

Re: Name that telly?
I loved the C64. I felt very pleased with myself when I programmed it (in BASIC) to convert normal numbers up to 2000 into Roman numerals....no reason other than just a bit of fun. No doubt a more experienced programmer could have done it with a quarter of the code and in much less time (it took me about 2 weeks) but I learnt a lot about sub-routines and economies in programming to save memory.
Likewise I think it's a Fidelity or something very similar.

Re: Name that telly?
It's safe to say that it is a Fidelity and is possibly the model with the simple two button remote control system. Channel sequencing 1 to 6 or 8? and a solenoid operated on-off switch. Sold a few in the early eighties. Not sure about the chassis, could be ZX2000 or ZX3000.
