I think my set must have spent its life in a dry environment as all the component legs look nice and shiny (including the Ediswan transistors) and the chassis is rust free.

Ekco did the same thing a few years later with the valve U332 in 1959/60 and then the transistor A455 Radio in 1965. Same plastic cabinet and styling.
