Tin radio 'G L'
There is a cream tin radio for sale, it is metal cased with a plain hardboard back.
Only marks are letters 'G'' and 'L' heavily serifed either side of the tuning knob embossed in the metal and painted black. The knobs look like new replacement instrument type knobs. Experts please identify? |

There was a GL used by the NAAFI's? Mine is cream metal and quite large with cardboard back.

Re: Tin radio 'G L'
Alan Stepney (now passed on) was writing a History of Good Listening.
One of his threads of research was who actually made the chassis. https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...ad.php?t=86613 I don't know what happened to the work he had done to date. He had a fair collection of GL sets one of which I provided. Cheers Mike T

Re: Tin radio 'G L'
There have been a couple of those on ebay before. One kept on being listed with a rather optimistic price considering it looked in very poor condition...at least the case looked as if it had been in a battle! I haven't seen it for a while and the price kept on being reduced so I don't know if it eventually sold.
