Default Philips Packing Box Art

The packing box for my Philips B4X23A/15 plano radio had this artwork on the sides. The box was ruined by damp in storage, but I photographed this vertically challenged chap advising on the orientation of the box, before I discarded it.

Was this sort of pictorial advice common on Philips packaging in the day?

Yes, I remember him!

Probably seen on Philips products shipped from Holland (or mainland Europe, but not their UK factories).
