Kenwood TS130S
Hi everyone.
A mate of mine has a Kenwood TS130S. He has his foundation licience and wants to use the rig. Is there a way of turning down the rig to 10w output as at the moment it's doing around 100w. I did have a look in the service manual and thought of turning down the finals board. I know some people will say adjust RF Gain. But thats not good enough. What are peoples thoughts. Is there a mod to turn it down. Thanks Andy G6OHM |

Re: Kenwood TS130S
Most of the basic level models from Japan were also available as 10W models. They had different PA boards.
You could try to find a board, but it likely comes with a full radio. The easiest option might be a licence upgrade Not said to be cute, but in terms of total effort. David
