Default Intel Hex to CS2 converter/loader for the MK14 & clones with SCIOSv3

Hopefully this is a better demo, this new version of SCIOS with Coolsnaz2's fast-loader is really good, seems to be totally reliable and plenty fast enough, especially if you bear in mind Nick Toop's original 4 bytes per second tape interface in SCIOSv2

The Intel Hex converter is just a very simple alternative to Ians superb ESP32 loader, its just that all my other stuff uses Intel Hex so it suits me.
CS2 itself is a great idea and easy to adapt to other retro computers like the RC2014 etc, anything with a couple of output port pins!

I'm really enjoying this MK14, thanks to everyone who helped with parts, you know who you are

Cheers
Phil

Nice demo, Phil.

That's the thing I like most about the CS2 loader method, the fact that Coolsnaz2 was kind enough to make his code and the details of the communications protocol available to all makes it possible for almost anything to send code to an MK14 equipped with SCIOS 3.

Who will be the first to load theirs up from a Commodore PET, a BBC model B or a Psion II or Psion 3, I wonder?

I wonder if we'll see a glut of SCIOSv2 roms on ebay?
Such a shame they're OTP

I was thinking, the Intel to CS2 thing has plenty of space, I might include "Message" as a demo so you can at least load something to show even if you dont have a laptop handy... a bit like the Elf demo loader https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbuYiz0DrsA
I was playing with Pauls "Segtris" last night, now that is clever
Did we ever manage to organise a group SC/MP repo & library somewhere, I remember it was suggested, not sure if it happened...

I think there is a thread somewhere with quite a lot of MK14 programs attached to posts, in particular one started by Slothie where he had converted just about every program from the original manual to SBASM format and additional contributions by Tim, but I am guessing that you mean something independent of this forum where we can maintain and update the contents.

I've created a library for Acorn System 1 applications here: http://www.theoddys.com/acorn/acorn_...lications.html

So could create a similar page for the MK14 ?

Thanks Q, bookmarked that page

I've updated the 'Intel to CS2 converter & loader' sketch to support the Sirius autorun format, and I've zipped up a bit of a diagram should anybody fancy making one.
Ta v much
