Great stuff. PMs exchanged.

I vaguely remember one of these lying around the workshop at my fist job back in the mid-70s. Can’t fully remember what the intended use was, but I suspect it was something like a low power monitor amplifier in a mixing console or similar.

Bit the bullet and got the IC on eBay – someone can wrap it up and give it to me as a Christmas present, it’s got to be better than socks or slippers

Found the article in Radio Constructor. There is just something nice reading an old RC mag…

I wonder back in my first job if one of the chaps in the workshop was inspired to use the SL403 in a low power monitor application after seeing the SL403 article using 3 ICs as in Practical Electronics Dec 1969 by M J Gay of Plessey.

It can be found here if you're interested.

Hello,

Got the amplifier and replacement IC in the workshop and I’ll get is all on the bench in the week or so.

I suppose I see it as a curio historical piece of equipment sitting in the timeline of early IC amplifier technology.

I know this is going to sound daft, but Andy ‘radioman’ do you still have the PCB as per post #1 - quote below...

Hi Terry,
Yes I've still got it.... but I can't remember where I put it !
Do you want it ?
PM me about it if you do, because I can't see me ever using it.

Regards,
Andy
