1960s Fidelity identification + value
I have the chance to restore an old Fidelity record player, but I don't know the model if anyone knows? I've looked online with no luck.
Was also wondering its value of when it comes to time to sell on. |

Re: 1960s identification + value
Without a pic of the autochanger this may well be a Fidelity 1960/61 model (HF27?) probably using a BSR UA14 autochanger and a UL84/UL85 valved amplifier. Not knowing its working condition, and assuming it has a BSR TC8H Mono only cartridge, puts its value at around £40.00.
The big issue with this will be the fact it can only play Mono records and the cost of a suitable replacement cartridge is very high, let alone finding a stereo-compatible one. You may, or may not, expect to earn much with this.

Re: 1960s Fidelity identification + value
I wouldn't value as much as Edward if still has the original cartridge it's unlikely to be working or at best has low output. Replacement cartridges are not cheap. Another issue could be the condition of the rubber mat on the turntable as may well have gone brittle with age. As for the amplifier would probably need recapping and the smoothing capacitor may need replacing. On the other hand it all could be working A1 and therefore Edward's valuation would be about right.
