Default McMichael Radio Rally Sun July 17th

For any forum members in the Thames Valley area, the McMichael Rally held just to the west of Reading can be a great source of bits including valves, valve radios, test-gear and components. It's only £2 to get in. Indoor and boot-sale areas. Good grub, including BBQ.

http://www.mcmichaelrally.org.uk/

It's named after McMichael Radios who of course manufactured their wares just down the road in Slough.

It's jointly organised by the Burnham Beeches and Reading Radio Clubs.
I'll be there helping out; one of the yellow-tabarded crew!

If you see me, do say hello.

Hope to see some of you there.

Jeremy

If the weather is fine I should be there. The McMichael Rally and the Dunstable Downs Rally being my two annual radio car boots.
The McMichael rally's venue originally was nearer to Slough, which I preferred being not so far as Reading!

Well worth a visit.

Sorry, that should have read "...just to the EAST of Reading."

It's at Sonning (Reading Rugby Football Club). See website for full details.

Great day, I bumped into Jeremy. I brought some useful bits inc a couple of logic tester clips, a couple of books, some components and nice vintage Fluke 8000A digital multimeter.

Ditto, plus several other old friends.

Scored a blue RP25A Sovereign at a bargain price, a couple of mini Maglites for about the cost of the batteries in them and a few other useful odds and ends.

Saw a familiar BVWS auction habitue wheeling a McMichael set almost as big as himself around on his sacktruck too
