Re: A Scottish Meet
Hi All.
One small point. No pets please my wife is allergic to most animals, and the allergic reaction causes severe breathing difficulties. Thanks Trevor

Re: A Scottish Meet
Hi
Just a month to go! Anne has made up a menu There will be three choices of soup. Scotch Broth Lentil soup Carrot & Coriander. Sausage Rolls Assorted sandwiches Cakes & biscuits Tea & coffee on demand! Any home baking though can be brought and this will go down a treat. Bring any items that you want to swap or sell. At my last count there should be around 25 members plus any wives/partners/girlfriends. Perhaps everyone should PM me prior to the day so I know how many to cater for. Have a good day everyone and a safe journey. See you on the 18th of October Trevor

Re: A Scottish Meet
Hi all,
I will be bringing some rubbish (oops nice stuff), and a set for someone to pick up; now I have been looking for stuff to bring and have for disposal one early Ferrograph recorder with good roller and OK apart from a motor problem. I will bring it ONLY if anyone wants it as it will take up too much room just to go on a round trip to Scotland and back! See you all soon, Paul. |

Bring it anyway, I'll take it if there is no other person interested. I wonder if Terry Martini will come, I am not sure he is still a member, he was here a couple of years ago but have not been in touch since, he is a big Ferrograph collector and historian. Cheers Trevor

Re: A Scottish Meet
Hi Everyone.
Its now just two weeks to go. I am assuming that there will be around 30 coming in all. I wonder though if all those that are coming could please quickly PM me with just the number they are bringing, you dont have to spend valuable time away from your sets just a number on the PM is all I need, I'll then know what seating to arrange and of course the grub. don't forget to bring anything that you want to sell or swap. Safe journey Trevor

Re: A Scottish Meet
Hello to All
Things are progressing well, It was a nice day so I was able to erect the first of the two Gazebo's that I will need, the "shed" is just about tidied up as well so its going to be a great day of vintage. Dont forget I still need final numbers. I am up to 23 but I can take up to 35 in all. Also to any wives girlfriends or "cooks" home baking will go down well. Cheers Trevor

Re: A Scottish Meet
Looks like you're really 'going to town' on this Trevor. Speaking as a mere southerner, much too far away to attend, I salute you!

Re: A Scottish Meet
It looks like this is going to be a really good day. I'm impressed with the effort and work being put in to make this happen. I hope you all have a great day, and it is the first of many. If I was closer I'd be attending.

Re: A Scottish Meet
Folks, I know its best to keep one's goodies as a pleasant suprise for next Sunday. However, must mention an ITT Marine multichannel marine band VHF Mains Base Station(circa 156Mhz). Its rather heavy, so will only fetch it if someone says they want it. There is also a Sailor 142 VHF,12V, + aerial, to go with it.
Regards, David |

Re: A Scottish Meet
Hi David.
Bring it along anyway, any stuff that doesn't go can be put on display in Bob's wee museum in Sorn if thats ok of course. Iv'e a goodly few things to swap etc. and one includes a 5 element band one aerial cut to the lower end of the band, its just what you need for the BHTV 405 line transmissions when they start, theres a load of stuff that coming out of the loft today. Cheers Trevor

Re: A Scottish Meet
Which reminds me - I have a pile of old computer magazines (about eight boxes worth) from the late 1980s/early 1990s of which I would like to dispose (FOC) in a more productive manner than dumping them in the local paper bank. The most numerous ones are Personal Computer World and Computer Shopper, but there are other titles as well.
If there is any potential interest, I would be happy to provide a bit more detail once I've taken a trip into the barn (where they're stored) to see what's there. I don't particularly want to start messing around with individual magazines - and definitely don't want to post any. The offer is currently limited to passing them on at Kilmarnock next Sunday, which is why I've posted here rather than in Sets & Parts Offered.

Re: A Scottish Meet
Hi
I forgot to say come along from about 10am, some need to leave 3-4pm so an early start will give us more time. I still haven't had confirmation from about four members but am still keeping them on the list, and any without address details please PM as soon as possible. Cheers Trevor
