Default Rees Mace RMH 24 receiver

Hi, any information on this set. It has 3 wavebands, SW1 SW2 and MW, in a grey wooden case.
A plate on the case says: The Rees Mace mfg co Ltd, London, England. Receiver Type RMH 24
I can find no info on it at all. I have not taken the back off yet.

Looks like a NAAFI set. Often driven by 12 volts with a vibrator. Wireless for the Warrior might have details of it or something similar.

It does look similar to my 2 Naafi sets, though I think there might be differences. Mine are wood with a front cover. One mains one battery.

The maker name is spelled Rees Mace. I had one of these sets https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/rees_m...table_top.html. I believe the chassis was a PYE make.

Member David Simpson posted on a broadly similar Rees-Mace set a few years ago- the absence of LW, the wide SW coverage and the utility presentation of both sets makes me wonder if they were maybe aimed as government-use (military, civil service?) broadcast sets for overseas destinations. Perhaps also they may have represented a toe-hold into official recognition for the subsequent Rees-Mace/Pye CAT set-up?

Rees Mace made sets for the Royal navy and were taken over by Pye in the 50s.
