Thumbs up Where to buy belts for a Nakamichi Deck?

Hi Folks

I've had a Nakamichi BX2 sat on the shelf for a while now and having just finished my last repair I want to give it some attention. It needs new belts and a general clean-up and calibration but I am struggling to find somewhere in the UK where I can order the belts from.

Anyone know where I can try or recommend a trusted source that could ship them from abroad?

I've always used one of the German sites that advertise on eBay - phonohifishop as an example.

They are quick and the belts are correct. Not cheap, but worth it.

Hello, I'm new here to learn about servicing a new to me Nakamichi DR1.

I just ordered belts from Electronic Supply Corp. on recommendation from Tapeheads.net. Fortunately, I had a pretty good idea of what i needed from reviewing info on forum threads.

I called and spoke with Mike who is taking over for his dad. They have been around for a good while.

Great service and very reasonably priced.

I hope this is helpful.

I fitted a capstan belt from ESC ^ to my Technics deck. It's rated @ 0.04% W+F, but on the 2nd belt I tried, I got 0.03%. So, if my experience is anything to go by, their belts are decent.

There is also Fixyour Audio (In Europe): https://fixyouraudio.com/

I haven't tried FYA's belts yet, but they are well regarded on Tapeheads and the owner is a contributor.
