1940 Field Telephone D MK V
I have just acquired a field telephone D MkV. The phone plug is missing also the dials to tune the buzzer. Does anyone know where I could get these please?

Try eBay. Think it's a pretty standard jack plug.

Assuming that you're referring to the handset plug, yes this is the standard one used on such as the telephone set "F":

RE: Plug as in pic.
I may be able to help if this is what's needed. I came across some similar pugs and sockets last weekend but can't remember if they were 4 pin, may have been more. I'll see If I can remember where the box is. Cheers Onewatt

Re: 1940 Field Telephone D MK V
The tele D has two black rounded Bakelite knobs which turn the threaded rods, and a locknut in the form of a knurled wheel with a threaded insert which locks the settings in place. It should be possible to replicate this with a bit of ingenuity, although the knobs are unlike any others I've seen and are probably not commonly available. For test purposes, any small knob with grub screw fixing should suffice, with a normal hexagonal locknut slipped onto the rod and tightened with a spanner.
The knobs can be seen in good detail in a number of images on this website.

That's the first time I've seen a five-pin version - I wonder what it was used for.
