Saba Freiburg Vollautomatic 125 tuning
Just taken delivery of this splendid radio, which is working well (inclduing the motor drive). The only problem is that it appears to be mis-cailbrated, i.e. it is receiving radio 4 (about 93Mhz) when the scale is showing 88 Mhz. It's almost as if it has been shifted deliberately to receive the high end (up to 108 Mhz) stations.
The only manual I have is in German and Babel Fish is struggling to translate the technical terms - I haven't looked at the motor drive yet, but wondered if anybody out there is familiar with this radio? Bryan |

A few of us here have them. Mine is in storage due to me being in Cyprus but they are a good set.
I will see what I can find out about info in English.

Re: Saba Freiburg Vollautomatic 125 tuning
Thanks - I've just been advised by the seller that the range was extended so that it will pick up statons to 108Mhz - but the effect is that it starts around 93Mhz!
Any information in English would be most welcome please!! Bryan |

The quickest way to do this is to move the RF Oscillator up by a few megs.
First, check the IF - 10.7 Mhz. If this is OK, go to the FM Oscillator Stage and wind it back down to where it should be. There will probably be one core that's loose or un-sealed. That's the one! Cheers, Steve P.

Thanks - I'll check with the seller if that's what he did before tinkering with it... Bryan

Hello,
There is a little screw on the FM part where the metal dial cord ends. Try to adjust this if no modification to the IF coils is made this should help. Regards Martin |
