Default Re: AR88 Tempted as I am!

I've been intending rebuilding my old AR88 for a long time and a couple of years ago, I took pity on one at a rally and thought it might be handy for spares.

The sellers were so pleased to see it go that I was immediately provided with TWO porters and a trolley to take it to my car. In best Range Rover tradition it chose that moment for the tailgate opening switch to fail! and we had to maneuver said radio into the back of the vehicle via a rear passenger door!

On getting it home, I then had to reverse the operation on my tod!

So the round tuit pile is a stack in the dining room of two AR88s with an HP 8566B on top. I think it must feature on NASA charts as FGA-1 - Fife gravitational anomaly number 1

Shame James is so far north- and Wick really is north! Otherwise, I'm sure an 'LF might find space somewhere (and I can still lift and carry one!).

I wonder if the Army or any of the North Sea helicopter support operators in that part of the world could be persuaded into some underslung load training.... ,
