Default 74DD8205B Marantz cass deck schematic/help please

hi all,

this unit has no audio

have replaced leaked caps & check for through hole issues on read/write module,but same results

seems that someone has also worked on the head amp PCB and it's in a bit of a state

discovered a broken print track line,on head amp module

suspect it's due to the previous engineers handy work

It would appear someone has gone in to replace SMD electrolytics with through hole types, probably due to the SMD's going bad - quite commonplace to find this now in 1980's/1990's as they seem to be failing in troops due to age.

hi Rob,yes all working now.

to be honest,i always use minature through hole types.

don't trust those smd electrolytics.
