Default Amstrad mega PC valuation

Hello all, I'm new here so i hope I'm posting correctly apologies if not.

I would like some help valuing a Mega PC and peripherals. It's an Amstrad mega PC 386SC and has an integrated mega drive.
I received it in a not working condition, on inspection the battery had leaked onto the mother board. I have removed the battery, cleaned up all signs of corrosion and repaired a couple of tracks.
The PC now post's and the mega drive works perfectly, but without a system battery the PC sides system settings need to be input every time you turn it on.

I have the original keyboard, monitor and game pad, and they are all in their original boxes and packaging. The monitor is an Amstrad PC14DSM.

So now you know all that, how much do you reckon its all worth? Ive had my fun with it and it still needs a battery installing but I've been looking around and just the components alone seem to be going for fairly high prices. But i have to stress I would hate to strip it down for parts

Any help really appreciated, I have photo's if you need to see them.
Thank you for your time.

Hi Cyber,

suggest looking at ebay/computing/vintage as such items often appear there.

This will give an idea of the prices they sell for.

Could an alternative battery to the original be fitted?

Regards - Mike

That's such a unique item I think it would be a pity to see it broken up.

There is a more computer-focused forum here:-

Although it is based in the USA, there is a sizeable British contingent amongst the members there. You could try offering it there, honestly described as you have here, to a UK based buyer collect-only.

Sirius, there appears to be a missing link in your post above.

I sold one on here a few years ago myself.
It was just the base unit only and in a non working condition.
I think i got £35 or £40 for it if memory serves but it was quite a few years ago.

Right, thanks for all the replies. I've done some more research and visited the vintage computer section on Ebay, so thank you for that tip. I also found a video on YouTube, the channel's called retro man cave and he had exactly the same machine and problem as me and fixed it the same way. so Yes a modern 3.6V battery pack can and should be installed.

All in all still a bit confused so i will head over to the forums in the link provided and see what they say, thanks again for that too.
If you are interested, please feel free to private message or Email me, I will definitely consider your offer but as of right now i still don't know how much to ask for.

So even though this might not be the right site for this sort of thing you have all been an enormous help to me, thank you so much.
