Re: A fool and his money - Not a Cossor
Thanks again everyone. Yes really does look like the RG100 as I have just had a look at the trader sheet (1225) I think thats It!
Still amazing detective work from everyone and it just shows the power of the forum for jobs like this. I would not have had a clue as to where to start and the clue was in the shape of those knobs. I really think its quite amazing. Yes your right this has been really exciting and more fun then the original radios story. Thank you all! Regards Chris

Re: A fool and his money - Not a Cossor
Clever detective work although David G4 was on to the quality of the Transformer right away! I think it's right that this amalgamation might be of more interest in the end. I'd imagined a much later set when I read your "confession" about the FM side Chris but such an early set [the 100 seems to be 1955 as well] is not to be sniffed at Is there much of this disingenuous stuff goes on overall I wonder? Someone seems to have gone to a lot of trouble for not much income unless was all done innocently and a subsequent owner has chosen to use the ID of the case. Perhaps unlikely I know

If it didn't cost much, looks like it has some useful donor parts if need be.

Hey, you like the look of 30s sets, and with no guilt to deal with you've got one with FM on it. What's not to like

Yes FM. My glass is at least half full and what a story! Yes someone did go to a lot of work I think I can do a better job if I can re-string it to make the FM tuner work. I really am ooking forward at my first go at the veneer and cabinet work, but thats a summber job.

Re: A fool and his money - Not a Cossor
Thanks Mike
I can see they did keep the old dial and wave changing decal. I guess another 635 will come along etc. Chris
