Default Wanted. Philips VLP600/700 Laservision Player Non working.

Long shot but im looking for a Philips VLP600/700 Laservision player , in unworking condition as I need one for parts to repair my existing one.

Iwould also consider a working one but they are as rare as hens teeth.

Does anyone have one of these top loading beasties lurking under a bench unloved or unwanted
Happy to pay of course and happy to pay postage.

Thanks in advance.

Richard.

I've got one or more spindle motors and probably one or more main-boards from what I believe to be Philips Laservision players. However, I've no idea what the model number for them is so if you can post either a picture or details of any labels on them that would help to tell if my stuff came from a 600, 700 or something else. FOC if wanted.

I will see what I can do Graham thank you.
Not really sure what I need yet as im a novice when it comes to repairing these things .
The 600/700 are basically the same except one came with a remote control system.

I believe the downfall of these players is usually the focus unit, built in a similar style to loudspeakers re the coil. Once open circuit they are not repairable. If you manage to find any I could do with two.

I have a feeling that could be the problem with mine.

IIRC the symptoms were running up to speed then slowing down again and again. It is a few years since I investigated them.

I have a lot of spares for these, but you will have to look at the mirrors which adjust themselves by current detection, if there is movement there. The laser beam is focused on to the disc and the return beam again is adjusted by the mirrors, the coils are usually seized up and repair is not usually possible, Alas I have not got these parts if I did I would have 4 working machines instead of 1 !! I have only managed to free up one set of mirrors, to get a machine working quite well.
