Is it correct that there are different types of speakers used in this and other round ekco radios?

if so a foto of each please.

i also have a question, if anyone does have the Original cloth of this radio.

greetings from Peter from Holland.

There is a lady In Holland who will make an exact match if she has none in stock. Sorry I can not remember her name Possibly Marie ? But you still need a photo, or sample which I can not help with. There is also Ben Dykeman ? also in Holland and Sid Chaplin's Son Russell if he is still on the go! This may remind someone, and you get more information.

If this radio has the very fine gold silk cloth with a fine chevron pattern in some light, KB radios used the same cloth.

I contacted Corrien and she made me a small sample which was not a good enough match. The threads she used were not as fine, it looked OK but I felt it did not look correct and original enough to justify the high price.
In the end I used a special gold Tygan cloth from Sid Chaplin's son Retrospecialist.

Looking at the Retrospecialist website it doesn't look like he has any of the special gold Tygan cloth left. Sid Chaplin once told me he had it made specially for EKCO radios and he was running low on it.

Maybe it is time we clubbed together and got Corrien to make some. In larger quantities it should work out more economical and easier to justify the expense.
She may still have the sample cloth and the details of it she made for me about 3 years ago.
