Rigonda Stereo, any service info requested
Schematics and layout diagrams in particular!
I'm trying to faultfind on this set at the moment, and tracing components without a layout diagram is proving rather tedious. Thus far though I've not managed to find anything, does anyone have, or know of where I might find schematics and/or chassis layout diagrams? |

There seems to be a 'schematic' at Radiomuseum... as long as you are a member

Thanks for the link. Just waiting for a viewer for the Djvu file to download.
Fingers crossed it's got the data in it that I need. |

Hello Zelandeth,
A good utility for viewing djvu files and editing many others is Irfanview, and it's free ..... http://www.irfanviewpack.com/ Howard |

Re: Rigonda Stereo, any service info requested
Cheers guys. I do actually have a viewer for DJvu files now, in case I ever meet them in the future.
Now armed with the shcematic, Paint Shop Pro, a photograpf of the chassis, and a lot of patience, I'm going to put myself together a layout diagram. Gives me an excuse to have a crawl over the chassis looking for anything suspect too. Obviously, once this is complete, I'll make the whole thing, in all its multi-layer glory available to folks here. Does anyone have a manual for this set? I'd really like to know how the stereo control works (joint-mono, or just one channel running when not set?), and to know what on earth that "band" button does... |

Re: Rigonda Stereo, any service info requested
I've had a look at the circuit, and if the Volume and Balance Controls are on the input of the amps, then do the following:
1: Clean those switches thouroughly. 2: Clean the pots. They appear to be ganged together, but the same applies. 3: There's 2 x 47uf (I think) caps on the 1.0 pots - Change them. 4: There's the resistors and caps on the boards, linked to the pots. Check and Change. Cheers, Steve P
