Edicron are still in business and on the basis of the face-to-face conversations I've had with the proprietor I'd be very surprised indeed if they had re-badged seconds. He's always made it very clear to me that they avoid anything which is at all suspect. I should say I have no commercial interest in their business - I'm just a happy customer.

I don't consider the presence of the two lines of code numbers as "identifiable as Philips/Mullard". That said I don't think they would be sub-standard quality either.

If a valve carries a Philips code then it was probably made by or for a Philips group brand.
