Default Small transformers & AC -DC convertors.

Looking for a small transformer to power a 555 circuit I noticed that Maplin have now got some low (1.5 VA) transformers in stock . Looking further I noticed they also now stock a range of Vigortronix AC(240V) - various voltages out at a range of powers (something like 1W -10W). These are definately SMPU types, but the makers data sheet quotes low ripple.

These items look small.
