Re: Who owns the rights to all the old radio names?
So who now owns the Sinclair name?
Amstrad bought the rights way back when Sinclair got into financial difficulties, but then Amstrad was sold to Sky TV . And what about Ultra? (the consumer part) I know the company was split way long ago , and the Ultra precision engineering still exists as I work opposite the factory in Cheltenham. |

Sinclair? This looks to be the relevant trademark registration:

Wharfedale, audiolab, Quad, Mission , and luxman brands. Unbelievably the EKCO range of audio was also sold through Tesco direct at one point. |

Re: Who owns the rights to all the old radio names?
Hello,
IAG also own the Leak brand name. I was recently chatting to the owner of an independent privately owned small/medium sized hi-fi company and we came to the conclusion independent privately owned hi-fi companies are becoming an endangered species in the UK Regards Terry |

I found this item from 1987. Did Ultra actually get revived back then? I don't ever recall seeing any late 8s or 90s kit with their badge on.
