Default BSR Recording Heads

Does anyone on here where new marriott heads can be found for BSR tape decks

I can't help directly with your question regrettably, but I think there are two REC/PB types; certainly that's the case for quarter track anyway, I don't know about half. From memory one is higher impedance than the other. I got caught out a few years ago. Someone used to advertise these heads (new) in Everyday Electronics in the 80s. Not that that's much help, sorry, unless they are still trading and have some NOS somewhere I guess. I wish I could remember who it was ...

Hi Paulus, I have a few heads here. There is a pair marked X24E31/A and X24RP36.
These are without mounting plates and appear to be 1/4 track.

I also have 2 mounted on base flanges, appear 1/4 track but no ID

There is also an assembly on a mounting plate that is R/P and E, looks like 1/2 track.

I found the ad! Not that it's much use - it's 1992 and doesn't mention the specific heads anyway. Oh well, I tried.
