Re: Marantz CDR-1
Welcome to the forum. Sounds like a switch or the tray motor has gone or it's power supply. Do you have a voltmeter? Start by checking the terminals at the eject switch and motor.
Andy.

Re: Marantz CDR-1
If you can hear a motor spinning when trying to open the tray, the belt may have come off.

Re: Marantz CDR-1
Thanks for the replies.
The motor works fine. The belt is new. The gear wheel is new. from a cold start the tray does not open. There is no motor spinning sound. but leaving the cdr-1 on power and opening the tray by hand, putting a cd in then the tray closes and the player works fine. opening, closing like nothing is wrong. power off.....power on then the same error occurs. regards rafalow |
