Default Marantz CDR-1

The Marantz CDR-1 recorder does not open the CD tray when power on.
and can not be used. But opening the CD tray by hand and then switching power on it works 100%

anyone an idea how to solve it.?

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like a switch or the tray motor has gone or it's power supply. Do you have a voltmeter? Start by checking the terminals at the eject switch and motor.

If you can hear a motor spinning when trying to open the tray, the belt may have come off.

Thanks for the replies.

The motor works fine.
The belt is new.
The gear wheel is new.

from a cold start the tray does not open.
There is no motor spinning sound.

but leaving the cdr-1 on power and opening the tray by hand, putting a cd in then the tray closes and the player works fine.
opening, closing like nothing is wrong.

power off.....power on then the same error occurs.
