Default Dansette HIFI mk2

Hi
Can someone put me in the right direction I'm trying to find a replacement part for this, and could somebody actually give me the name for these part. As you can see from the photo both ends have been broken off .
I would be very grateful thanks.

As stated on the circuit diagram, it's a 500pF (picofarad) capacitor.

These are readily available from RS, Farnell etc. You may have to settle for a radial rather than an axially leaded one. There's no voltage to speak of in that part of the circuit, so a low voltage one will do.

The usual question. Why did you think it necessary to change it?

EDIT. Are you sure you've identified the capacitor correctly? It appears to have 300 written on it rather than 500.

Thanks for replying I have double checked I do have a the 200pf and a 300pf are in their place, but the 500pf was missing and I found that one in the bottom of the unit. as you say it does look like 300pf but I'm missing the 500pf.

You can obtain a suitable replacement from Cricklewood Electronics ( as stated previously).
Suitable type would be the 470pf Polystyrene Axial, part CPS470p, £1.20.
I presume you are replacing this because, as you say, it’s broken!

I thought perhaps the leads had been broken off when it was removed with a view to replacement.
