Re: Dansette HIFI mk2
As stated on the circuit diagram, it's a 500pF (picofarad) capacitor.
These are readily available from RS, Farnell etc. You may have to settle for a radial rather than an axially leaded one. There's no voltage to speak of in that part of the circuit, so a low voltage one will do. The usual question. Why did you think it necessary to change it? EDIT. Are you sure you've identified the capacitor correctly? It appears to have 300 written on it rather than 500.

Re: Dansette HIFI mk2
Thanks for replying I have double checked I do have a the 200pf and a 300pf are in their place, but the 500pf was missing and I found that one in the bottom of the unit. as you say it does look like 300pf but I'm missing the 500pf.

Re: Dansette HIFI mk2
You can obtain a suitable replacement from Cricklewood Electronics ( as stated previously).
Suitable type would be the 470pf Polystyrene Axial, part CPS470p, £1.20. I presume you are replacing this because, as you say, it’s broken! Cheers John |

Re: Dansette HIFI mk2
I thought perhaps the leads had been broken off when it was removed with a view to replacement.
