Default Bush SRP32C record player

Just curious - It looks identical to the popular SRP31C, same cabinet and fittings, same Garrard Autoslim deck, so can someone please tell me what the difference is?

Well I've never heard of a Bush SRP32C either.
From the quick research I've done, all the photos of this model show it fitted with the Garrard 209 autochanger instead of an Autoslim.

There are a couple of 32C’s on eBay one sold one still for sale. One has a 210 deck the other a later Garrard deck.

I don’t know the difference to the 31C though.

I've not checked the two mentioned, but perhaps it's just the same mistake made by two different people with regards to the model number?

Attached photos of the SRP31C and SRP32C model number badges, difference shown on the badge, I should have seen it before.

Yes, I did a search after I logged off last night and checked the one you've shown in the picture. It looks like it has more of a flat front rather than the sloping front of the more common 31C. I don't think I've ever come across one in the flesh.

We'd probably have noticed this if we'd been on-line and quick enough to see the link or whatever it was that got removed from the first post on this thread.

I don’t think the cabinet is different, it’s the voltage range that is different.

Oh, well spotted sir! So the answer is that the SRP32C is a dual-voltage model.

Oh, well spotted sir! So the SRP32C is a dual-voltage model then.

Yes but by the look of it 50hz only, unless the manual gives conversion details.

I'm still not completely convinced about this lack of sloping front business.

I think there may have been some with and some without a sloping front.

I think only the SRP32C models had some made with none sloping fronts.

I think that with the decks used in the 32C model, particularly the Garrard 210, indicates that the 32C model ran concurrently with the 31C model.

I've 'borrowed' some pictures from the 'net' which do tend to indicate a non-sloping front - but could this be just a trick of the camera?

I have a SRP31C model myself which obviously has the sloping front that we're all familiar with. I'll perhaps have to get round to positioning mine at the same angle as those shown below to see if the camera plays tricks!

I also note that there's more than one version of the instruction book for the SRP32C model as is shown in pictures below.

I can’t claim to have seen every version of the player so it’s possible. The red book looks like the older version of the two instruction books.

It’s also possible that I have repaired the 32 version and either not noticed and just fixed it or have just forgotten after 50 years.
