Stephanie, that's wasn't very lady-like!

Josh mentioned to me in a PM that he has nearly 70 sets in one room.....

That's actually not all that strange. I think I had about that many by the time I moved out of me mum's. Of course they were mostly compact 4-tube + rectifier AC/DC table radios and their sorry-state brethren...along with two hi-fi stereo amp/radio sets and three black & white 13" TV sets.

P.S.: Edited my previous post. I didn't know that word was quite that foul (thinking instead it was a milder version of...well you know).

Maybe not lady like but dead right. There is always room for radios and TV sets here.

Meet my wife she's trained to accept that. I've got 11 TV sets in the bedroom and ... well I can't count the radios!

Cheers,

Steve P.

He he. Next time mum and dad have a bit of a dig about the cp in my room I will have to point that out. My 20-ish radios, a radiogram, a Black-Box, the AVOs, a couple of hundred glass-bottles, and the rest of it all crammed into my bedroom doesn't sound so much now! I have been at this accumulating stuff lark longer than Josh too!

Reading about Josh and his 70 sets in one room, I just done a count and in one room alone I have :-

38 radios.
3 record players.
14 telephones.
36 clocks (discounting modern ones).
Numerous other items irrelevant to these forums including paraffin/pressure lamps.

It would thus seem I'm relatively uncluttered

Amateurs !

I've got 7 tellies just in the kitchen alone. It wouldn't be so bad except 5 of them are consoles

Funny how people here collect the same things!
My radios, clocks and test equipment are scattered all over the house - some in use, others not, and the pressure lanterns and stoves are mainly in the garage.

Build a frame to raise the bed a few feet. Then you've got lots of lovely space underneath

Get rid of the bed-frame and the slats.

Make a platform out of some radios. Toss the mattress over it. Presto. Instant bed. You're 12, you're probably a skinny twig....so it won't be much weight for the radios to support.
