Orr radio 1930's any info?
I have the chance of a typical mid thirties tabletop radio, but cant find any info of the maker. Thinking it might have been very short lived. The panel on the back reads, " Orr Radio 79a Parkhurst Rd, London N7. There is one Orr radio listed in radio radio, but the address is different.

Re: Orr radio 1930's any info?
According to Bulletin article "Resume of British Goods Manufacturers etc" part 10
" Labgear was bought by Pye in 1951 (it is suspected that prior to this, Labgear was not a limited company and a dormant Pye company - Orr Radio Ltd - had its name changed to Labgear when Pye took over in 1951). Orr Radio Ltd was incorporated in October 1932" |

The name Orr features in the history of Pye, coincidence perhaps: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Orr_Stanley
