Re: Mystery 1930s 3 valve battery radio chassis
Think it is on the back cover but will double check.

Re: Mystery 1930s 3 valve battery radio chassis
I was just looking at the last pics, (post #35) and I noticed that the vertical strut behind the speaker aperture has holes drilled in a way that suggests the possibility that a moving iron speaker was originally fitted. Tony.

Re: Mystery 1930s 3 valve battery radio chassis
If it's the set I think it is it definitely had a moving iron speaker originally.
Cheers Mike T

Re: Mystery 1930s 3 valve battery radio chassis
No I sold mine in 2017 but I am pretty sure it is the same set, I mean how many of them can there be
So it looks as if there has been another custodian for a year I attach a couple of pictures from my original listing. Cheers Mike T

Re: Mystery 1930s 3 valve battery radio chassis
It's definitely the same set, the scratches on the chassis are identical, as are the constellation of worm holes on the vertical brace. Looks like the last guy(s) replaced the tubes though.
How cool that you get to see one of your old sets on it's travels! |

Re: Mystery 1930s 3 valve battery radio chassis
As it sold for just £9 that was probably below the value of the original valves.
I always liked that set that's why I bought it. Yes it's really nice to see it restored to a standard I would find hard to achieve. I have so much going on and trying to concentrate on Cossor. Cheers Mike T.
