Re: Disappointment with my new 2M antenna
There IS a system for getting monies back for faulty/missing goods, even if paid for with a DEBIT card. Its called 'Chargeback', and allows your bank to reclaim the money from the seller, a bit like the credit card system.
I had cause to use this when some goods I ordered never arrived. The claim has to be started within 120 days, and your bank will probably look blankly at you when you raise the issue, they have to get their finger out, and do some work, and don't like to put in the effort!!!! Google 'Debit card chargeback', read up, and insist at the bank, if they try to fob you off. I stood my ground, and then had a more senior bank person deal with me,.. result, 100% refund. Oh! Peter, I also had a bad experience with a homebrewed 2 element 1/2 wave collinear.
It was no good for a distant repeater (couldn't even trigger it) while a 1/4 wave ground plane was. However the collinear worked when I mounted it inclined to increase its radiation angle in the direction of the repeater! 73, Nandu. |
