I did go so far as to look them up to see if they were pin compatible with every other manufacturer's single rail 2716s because that seemed unlikely, but in fact they were pin compatible. I have just about enough 2716s myself to get by on, plus a few 28C16s. For anyone looking to dispose of anything vintage computing related it's not a bad idea to mention here that you are going to make the item available before putting a specific 'for sale' post about it in 'offered', as per forum rules.

I've updated my website with the correct Softy 2 firmware and also made a start on disassembling it, it is clearly based on the Softy 1 firmware which I've also started disassembling. I have to say I still struggle to get my head around the 8060 instruction set being used to 6502 code !
