We used to refer to CRS as TRS, and CEL6 WAS COAX LINE EQUIPMENT 6 ,inside these buildings was a dual set of valve amplifying equipment for the 960 channels, cOmplete with power filters to extract and then re insert power ( circa 1000v AC)
These buildings were of two sizes, the larger ones having an generator room at the rear, seperate from the main building.
I've just found a list of BT sites and those that I've workd in are classified Y, such as YTOB/YGLB/YMAG- most definately radio masts connecting Oban with mainland Argyl and mainland Invernesshire
