Marantz SD25 Peak level display problem - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

I just fitted new belts to a Marantz SD25 deck. It plays great after that. I realized that the recored button didnt work so I took it apart again and fixed it, it was stuck so I cleaned and lubricated. The recording works fine after that. But after fixing record button the peak level display is not working anymore, it did before. Just the first led on left and right are lit (even when not playing, but I guess it always lit when you turn on power) it doesnt work in play mode or record mode. The record level knobs works, but the meters seems to stop getting any signals.
I have looked for loose cables but everything seems to be in order. So dont know what the problem might be. Have no service schematic either.
Anyone with a marantz deck that have fixed a peak led display?
