Default Military Valve Amplifier Strip - mystery continued

Hello,

I'm hoping for some new insight into an old thread...
Back in March last year SteveCG posted an unidentified military amplifier strip.
I had seen a couple of these before as well, but had no further information as to where they came from.
Maybe there are some new eyes or new ideas?

SteveCG's original photos are attached.

Has anyone heard from SteveCG? He hasn't posted since August.
Another friend on the board hasn't heard from him since a PM last year either.

The original thread is here...
https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=177843

Thanks for any help!

Chris

I believe it is the 45 Mhz strip out of a TR8193 or Rebecca mk8 beacon receiver from WWII.

I have what I think is the same unit and the front end that goes with it tuning from 200 to 235 MHz.

I had a complete receiver unit but all the small intricate transformers had gone open circuit with age and corrosion of the chassis.

I will take some pictures of what I have to hand.

Just going off the wording in this article
https://www.vintageavionics.nl › index_bestanden › Diagrams › TR8193 circuit.pdf

Probably not would be my guess, but think that the Rebecca mk1 etc probably started during the war and was used to find the Eureka beacons and other such as used.
